African black soap is a traditional West African soap used for its deep cleansing & clarifying action. African black soap reduces inflammation of the skin, treats acne, hyperpigmentation, & effectively removes product-build up/dandruff/excess sebum from the hair & scalp. A powerhouse of vitamins, minerals, & phytochemicals, black soap is loaded with super holistic healing ingredients. Made from the ashes of (roasted) plantain skins, cocoa pod powder, palm oil, palm tree leaves & a combination of other nourishing ingredients such as shea butter & coconut oil. Natural potassium hydroxide is released from burning the plantain skins & cocoa pods, which is what the black soap is made from, & makes it an extremely effective treatment for various skin, hair & scalp conditions. Our formula is carefully handcrafted with plant-derived ingredients to help soften, nourish, treat & cleanse. Naturally scented with white tea-ginger & Japanese peppermint, our formula is so invigorating & refreshing that after using it, you will surely be left with a feeling of Clarity. 

Directions:

Hair & Scalp- Usage depends upon build-up & sebum production. If using Safiyings Ayurvedic Hair & Scalp Oil, use 1x per week as a clarifying shampoo. Follow with a conditioner to help seal your hair cuticles. 

Face & Body: Can be used daily. If your skin is naturally dry, then use 1x every other day. Dampen skin & apply cleanser. Lather up & rinse off. 

Gently Shake Before Each Use. Separation of organic matter within the cleanser is completely normal.

African black soap has a very powerful cleansing effect so always do a test patch before using.
