Levant Lineage Warming Restoration Tea

Rooted in Levant tradition, this warming spice tea is inspired by the postpartum blends known as Aynar or Miglet Al Mai — teas traditionally prepared by mothers and grandmothers and passed down woman to woman.

In traditional herbal systems, warming spices are used to support circulation, digestive fire, and the natural movement of fluids in the body, especially after periods of depletion. After birth, blends like this were traditionally given to help restore warmth, support the body’s natural uterine clearing process, and encourage breast milk production during the fourth trimester.

This whole-spice infusion brings together aromatic seeds and roots long valued for their grounding, circulatory, and digestive qualities. While deeply rooted in postpartum care, it is enjoyed by anyone seeking a warming, nourishing spice tea — men and women alike.

This blend is a deluxe formulation, crafted with a wider range of whole spices than traditional household versions, offering deeper warmth, circulation, and nourishment.

Directions for Use:

This blend is traditionally prepared as a decoction and is meant to be simmered, not steeped.
Add 3 heaping tablespoons of the tea blend to 8 cups (2 liters) of water. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15–25 minutes. Strain and enjoy warm.

The same spices may be re-boiled a second time with fresh water. Discard after the second boil.

Strength may be adjusted by simmering longer or shorter, according to preference.

Traditionally served with soaked walnuts for added nourishment. 

Yield:

Each bag contains 100 grams of the blend which yields approximately 45–50 cups of tea when prepared traditionally and re-boiled twice.

Caraway seed, fennel seed, anise seed, cinnamon bark, dried ginger root, galangal (kholanjan) root, cardamom pods, star anise, nutmeg, cloves, bay leaf.
